The German word furzen is slang for "to fart". Is there any connection here? A fart is usually relatively lukewarm foul smelling air released via the orbicular muscle. Most humans experience farting in public as an act of rudeness. The music of Furze does not smell foul, but it does leave a lukewarm feeling in the area of the orbicular muscle. Playing the music of Furze in my direct public environment is considered an act of rudeness, but this also goes for the music of a lot of other bands. The sound of this Norwegian black metal product is relatively okay, but the music most of the time sounds downright childish. The structure of the songs is messy, it seems to be lacking a necessary level of cohesion. Rather easy riffs are used to mask the low level of creativity in song writing. Some sort of tension is created via simple ideas such as changing the volume level at different moments in the music. All in all I can agree with the words of Martin Ain of Celtic Frost whose words are quoted on the sleeve of this promo copy: "FURZE from Norway is a good example that it is still possible to create unique Black Metal! Just a shame most other bands in the scene sound so alike each other." I mean, it is all quite out of the ordinary, but I just do not see this as a positive thing. 专辑曲目: 1.
