马蒂奥·卡尔卡西 （Mateo Carcassi,1792-1852），意大利吉他演奏家，伟大的吉它教育家。生于佛罗伦萨，自幼学习吉他，十八岁时显露头角，被誉为名家。二十八岁起移居巴黎，并多次访问德国和英国。他著有三百多首古典吉他和练习曲，其中《练习曲二十五首》较有名，他于1936年出版《卡尔卡西古典吉他教程》是其代表作。 他的吉它演奏教程被认为是最经典的古典吉它教程，被翻译成多国文字出版，以后又多次增补重版。作为一名演奏家，他的演奏风格华丽明快，平易近人。
