BBC英国广播公司一年一度的Reith Lectures “里斯讲座”今年已经进行到第61年。1948年设立这个讲座的初衷，是为了纪念倡导公众传媒理念的英国广播公司第一任总裁约翰•里斯。当年的主讲是伯特兰·罗素。从那以后，人类文明不同领域的领军人物纷纷出现在里斯讲座的讲堂，就文化、科学、宗教、政治等等话题发表看法，并邀请听众共同讨论。 这里发的是第一个Reith Lecture，罗素的Authority and the Individual。其它很多年份的讲座，官方网站都提供录音、部分提供下载，有兴趣的朋友可以自己去收听下载，我在网找了种子文件，可惜没有源了，自己手头上也仅此一讲而已。 就一个文件，128kbps，44khz，一个小时左右。1948年的录音，有点噪音，但是就一个60年前的讲座而言，这样的音质很难得了 The Reith Lectures are series of annual radio lectures given by leading figures of the day, commissioned by the BBC and broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
