美国老牌Crossover乐队Stormtroopers of Death的1985专辑，应该算是早期Crossover的经典代表作了。这支乐队实际上是美国Thrash巨头anthrax的一个分支，由吉他手Ian发起，鼓手Charlie也来自于anthrax，贝司手Dan Lilker同样曾经在anthrax效力过（此人了不得，牛比的雇佣兵，在很多大牌乐队效力过），主唱Billy Milano则来自于另外一支Crossover乐队。根据Ian自己的说法，当初他搞这个乐队本来就是为了娱乐，所以从S.O.D的音乐风格上我们也能看到出来这种倾向。看看这令人无语的专辑名《Speak English or Die》，千万别跟他们较真……
抛开上面的东西不谈，S.O.D的音乐听起来是相当爽快，快速猛烈、蛮不讲理而又轻松诙谐。对于喜欢Crossover的朋友来说，这张专辑不该错过。
