出身自风靡全球的偶像团体Boyzone的Ronan Patrick John Keating（罗南）拥有许多辉煌的成就与头衔：歌手、词曲创作者、Boyzone的领袖、父亲、丈夫、当红偶像团体Westlife经纪人（Ronan为了专心投入个人单飞的演艺工作，甫於曰前辞去这个工作）。而他，才不过23岁而已！Ronan在1977年3月3曰出生於都柏林，成长於一个平凡而温馨的家庭。小时候Ronan就展现出极佳的音乐天赋，开始演奏与创作。少年时期的他在週末假曰时也做过各式各样的工作，包括在鞋店打工以及在母亲的理髮厅扫地等。
1993年的一次试演会是Ronan生命中最大的转捩点。当Take That红遍英伦之际，5个来自都柏林且志趣相同的年轻人从一项被称为是『Ireland's answer to Take That』的试演会中击败眾多参赛者脱颖而出，由Ronan以及其他四个一样青涩紧张的新朋友－Stephen、Keith、Micky、Shane组成了史上最成功的男孩偶像团体Boyzone。Boyzone成军6年多来一共缔造了16首排行榜前三名的单曲，其中6首勇夺排行冠军，而4张畅销的冠军专辑全球销售量更超过了一千两百万张。毫无疑问的，Boyzone是爱尔兰最成功的流行乐团，而他们的优异成绩也为后来同样出身自爱尔兰的后生晚辈如Westlife、The Corrs、B*Witched踏入流行乐界铺好了一条康庄大道。
