《魔法门之英雄无敌V》发售之前曾颇受关注，上市之后玩家们对这款新作毁誉参半。那么此次资料片会有哪些新鲜的改进呢？
新种族：加入了全新的矮人种族
全新游戏任务，15个新关卡，新英雄以及更出色的场景动画
新游戏体验：一系列新魔法，五个新单人游戏地图，10个新多人游戏地图，新建筑、物品、法术以及能力，当然，还包括传说中的新中立怪物们
改进游戏性：新特性——商队；新随机地图生成器；新在线模式功能——同步回合制将显著提高在线游戏速度
