I had never heard of him before, but he happens to have a few movie scores under his belt, Gondry's "Human Nature" (2001) among them, along with a few other albums. The sound he puts out reminds of a blend between that of the previous Gondry collaborator, Jon Brion, and the specific album that David Hirschfelder composed for the movie "Shine". He incorporates samples of dialogue from the movie with classical and jazz elements, resulting in an overall score that is a perfectly surreal match for a fairly surreal movie. The album contains a couple of very nice tracks from The Willowz (they seem to be a personal favorite of Gondry), along with a Kool & The Gang song ("Steppin' Out") that break the "spell" in the music that otherwise flows much like a dream from track to track. 专辑曲目: 01.
