They are influenced by many spiritual beliefs, which manifest themselves in their lyrics and musical themes. They released their first EP, Senses Fail - From the Depths of Dreams, on August 12, 2002 on ECA Records, followed by a re-release on April 29, 2003 on Drive-Thru Records. Their first proper album, Senses Fail - Let It Enfold You, was released on September 7, 2004 on Vagrant Records. It too was re-released with five bonus tracks, including three acoustic versions of songs on Senses Fail - Let It Enfold You.
