Like their stage production, there's something for everyone in this CD. "We tried to get everyone's favorites on here that weren't already done on our EP," explains Mark Megibow. "That's why the selections are so diverse. We also wanted to be sure each of us got a chance to show off." There's a healthy amount of the all-vocal rock sound that is Face's bread and butter, with favorites of their covers of "Home," "Sugar We're Going Down," and "If You Could Only See." You can also hear their jazz and funk sounds in "Not the Crime," "You and Me and the Bottle Makes Three," and of course what they've coined their "all-instrumental number," the Theme from Pink Panther. You'll hear Forest Kelly crooning "How Deep Is Your Love," and Megibow's rendition of the comedic (if macabre) "Dig It Up." Finally, don't overlook Ben Lunstad's hauntingly beautiful "American Passion," in which he juxtaposes Paul Simon's "American Tune" and the Bach Passion Chorale on which it was based.
