The Amazing Race Asia is the first season of the popular reality television game show The Amazing Race's Asian broadcast. The Amazing Race Asia features ten teams of two, with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around Asia and Pacific Rim to win US$100,000. Applications were accepted through March 31, 2006 and filming began in late May and ended in late June 2006. The season began on November 9, 2006 and the season finale aired on February 1, 2007.
